They had gotten away with it at least three years before, so I’m guessing they never thought they’d get caught. How many of the readers now think that the whole SOL system is corrupt?
The whole education system is corrupt. Virginia makes billions of dollars each year on lottery proceeds. We should have the best school system in the nation, but we don’t.
Perfectly good schools are closed to build prettier ones.
No child left behind allows the lazy and stupid to graduate.
College is too expensive for anyone but the rich.
Classrooms and schools are overcrowded.
“Bussing” is a nightmare.
Guidance counselors often couldn’t give directions to the restroom.
Teachers are burning out quickly.
Promotions are not given on merit.
Teacher’s can’t teach subjects anymore. They teach tests.
AND the biggie. Problem children are pacified, even when they interrupt class and hold those who want to learn back.
Bring back remedial classes! Show GPA’s on diploma’s. Make all dropouts join the armed forces or go to military school. Anyone wearing gang colors is GONE! Bring back school uniforms and rulers across the hand.
Get this country back on track.
