Its going to be an easy preview to write, but it’s also a sad one.
There’s no competition at all for any of the four board seats. Unless there’s a miracle write-in campaign, Halifax County will have the same Board of Supervisors that they’ve got now.
J.T. Davis, Tom West, William Fitzgerald and Wayne Conner will be re-elected. So much for the “Voter Outrage” at reassessments, tax rates, land-use taxation and everything else. You’d think that somebody would have tried to at least make it a competitive race. Does this mean that voters are happy with everything the way that it is?
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
