And the menu looks delicious.
I had a nice visit Monday at the future home of Checkered Pig BBQ (the former Backyard Burgers location) and got a sneak-peek at their menu while I was waiting to talk to the owner. I’ll keep it a trade secret right now, but I promise that you’ll like what they’ve got planned to serve. The owner is very friendly and I’ve got no doubt that they’re going to do great. The fact that it’s in walking distance from work has not biased my opinion (much). 😉
They’ve got great plans in progress for the restaurant and are about ready to open. SouthsideCentral will be there for their special Premiere Night and we’ll be covering the event LIVE!

I can’t wait till they get here. I have eaten at the restaurant in Martinville that they run. And if folks think about it they are the same folks that cook for the Racin and Tastin Event at the Crossing. They Rock and you can afford the prices…
I THINK THE PEOPLE RUNNING THIS ONE IN DANVILLE R THE WORST ME AND MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!!!!! MY DAUGHTER STARTED WORKING THERE TWO WEEKS AGO THE FIRST WEEK SHE WORKED 30 HOURS AND THE MANAGER TOLD HER SHE WAS DOING GREAT THEN 2 DAYS LATER HE TOLD HER SHE WAS FIRED CAUSED SOMEONE TOLD HIM SHE SAID SOMETHING ABOUT SOMEBODY!!! NOW COME ON!!!! FIRST OF ALL HOW DOES HE NO SHE SAID ANYTHING HE JUST SHOWING FAVORITISM FOR THE GIRL THAT TOLD. HOW HE NO SHE JUST DON`TLIKE MY DAUGHTER AND LYING. THEY HAD TO BE TALKING ABOUT MY DAUGHTER TOO WHY THEY WAS NOT FIRED TOO. I THINK ITS REAL SAID WHEN U LET TEENAGERS TALKING ABOUT EACH OTHER A REASON TO BE FIRED THAT IS NORMANL TEENAGERS JUST BECAUSE THEY DIDN`T LIKE MY DAUGHTER THEY HAD HER FIRED. I THINK I WILL REPORT THIS ONE TO THE LABOR BOARED AND BBB TOO BAD CAUSE ME AND MY FRIENDS LIKED EATING THERE BUT NOT ANYMORE
