Danville Braves turn rare triple play!

There’s something you don’t see every day!

Let’s go to a DBraves recap release about Monday’s game…

After lead-off walks to Alonzo Harris and John Semel put runners on first and second, Joseph Bonfe sharply lined the ball to Mycal Jones at short, who ranged to his right to make the snag. Harris and Semel, though, thought the ball was headed for the hole and took off for third and second, respectively. Jones bolted for second, beating Harris back to the bag, before whipping to Riaan Spanjer-Furstenburg at first base for the triple play, sending the 1,125 faithful at Legion Field into an uproar.

Looks like that’s the first one in the Appy League this year…
