Pittsylvania County Sunday beer/wine sale proposal is dead!

We’ve got the Breaking News here thanks to one of our great sources!

Fred Ingram made the motion to put Sunday beer/wine sales up for each election district and his motion died for lack of a second.

Nice going, Pittsylvania Board of Supervisors. Refuse to let the voters decide what they want…

I think I am going to start having some wine again. Maybe even decide to have it on SUNDAY. Oh but I will have to go and buy it across the line. You know. I don’t care. At least across the line I know they will appreciate my hard earned Pittsylvania County Money.

  • So just buy enough booze on Saturday night to get you through til Monday morning. Seems kind of obvious.

Used to be you couldn’t buy much of anything on Sundays and yet somehow people survived.

I agree totally. Things should never change at all. Hey you kids, get off my lawn! 😀

  • I didn’t say things should never change, I’m simply pointing out that it’s kind of pointless to complain about not being able to buy something on one day of the week when you can easily obtain it the other six days. Further, I was pointing out that there was a time, not too long ago when most stores were closed on Sunday, so you couldn’t buy a lot of things on Sunday. But people survived by planning ahead. If you want to get all liquored up on Sunday in Pittsylvania County (and who doesn’t eh?) then PLAN AHEAD!

    Sheesh!

This is a clear example of Pittsylvania County handing money to neighboring counties. It has nothing to do with what’s right and what’s wrong or any crazy religious blue laws.

I’m sure the neighboring counties appreciate PC’s unwillingness to move into the 21st century. I’m also sure PC’s businesses DO NOT appreciate it.
