Lopefest to offer non-alcoholic beverages as well as beer/wine.

Fact: There will be non-alcoholic beverages at the Virginia Cantaloupe Festival. Let’s go ahead and destroy a rumor about that before it grows out of control.

After having a few people ask me “have you heard…?” and “a friend told me…”, I decided to go straight to the source and asked Mitzi Riddle from the Halifax County Chamber of Commerce. She told me that the Virginia Cantaloupe Festival would be offering tea, lemonade and water this year.

Let’s hope that squashes some rumors going around…
