That is why Gracie from Chatmoss stopped taping. He answered the question about Uranium mining but they kept on asking… Enough already.
Can’t blame you there.
Here are some highlights im my mind….I do this in quote form. These are paraphrases of course…but I think the accurately portray his comments.
“We will get the state out of the liquor business and using the money saved for transportation.”….”No new state taxes for transportation”….”We will seek to use 80% of drilling revenues for transportation needs.”
“VA looks to be the first state on the east coast to drill offshore for oil and natural gas, but we also will work on getting another nuclear power plant up and running running in Lake Anna, Va.”
“I will appoint a special assistant to the governor that will work specifically with rural VA., and you will see representatives from your state govt. including myself and Lt. Governor Bolling in this area frequently.”
“As a leader, I must make decisions based on facts. Therefore, once a scientific/societal study regarding the mining of Uranium in Va has been completed and all the facts are in…I will then evaluate those facts, have further discussions with citizens, consult with experts and then make a decision that I believe is in the best interest of VA. Until that point it is unwise for a person such as myself to categorically be for or against Uranium mining.”
“I will work to increase penalties for repeat drug sellers in VA….you sell drugs for the second time and you will pay a hefty price.”
“VA needs to get in the game when competing with NC and TN for business. We are vastly outspent and out worked by those states, and it shows.”
“I will stand up for VA when the federal government oversteps her bounds and infringes on our sovereignty impeding our progress, when they are wrong I will be vocal…when they are right I will be a supportive partner…my job will be to look out for VA…when the federal government gets in our way I will speak up.”
There were others as well….He is very articulate and impressive. Genuinely appears to be a nice man, and is certainly top executive material.
I agree 100% with Dave Cline. When did the other administrations come here. In Crisis and just stay what a few hours. Bob Promises to come once a month or send Bill. That is worth something there and I know he will do it.
