Wrap-up: Robert Freeman (1006 Alton Post Office Road) called at 9:00 PM to report that while he preparing dinner, his 20 month old son had wandered off. He had last been seen around 7:30 PM by a sibling and they had been looking for him since that time. The child was located around 10:45 PM. He was sitting on a neighbor’s front porch about 150 yards from his home. Sheriff Noblin issued a statement thanking all of the VFD members, the state police and the community members that helped with the search.
The Turbeville VFD has been asked to meet at the fire department to get a briefing to start a search for a missing 20 month old child. The child is missing from the Alton Post Office Rd. area. Halifax County Search & Rescue has been called to the area to help in the search.
