The contenders for the Pure Stock championship that’s on the line Saturday night at South Boston Speedway just got reduced by two.
Jarrett Milam (currently in 2nd place) and his father Jack Milam (currently in 4th place) have been suspended by South Boston Speedway officials for their actions in last Saturday night’s Pure Stock race. They got into it with Chris Crosby in a on-track wreck and a pit-road altercation. Jarrett’s out for the last race of the season and Jack’s out indefinitely.
That means that Chris Crosby has the inside track (pun very much intended) to the championship, as his nearest competitor is now 15 points behind him. Courtney Crosby (brother to Chris) is 16 points behind and has a shot at the trophy as well.
Love this,my husband Randy races in this class also and has had to “tangle” with the Milams this year.We are very close friends with Chris and Courtney and sure are hoping one of them can pull it off Saturday night.Again great article and we all appreciate the support for the pure stock class.
Great article thus far concerning this matter. My brothers have endured countless attacks on their reputation and character resulting from the outcome of Saturday’s race. Both have had to “tango” with the Milam’s throughout this season. I wish Courtney and Chris best luck this Saturday. Thanks for great article and support for the Pure Stock class.
