Let’s head to the Town of Halifax and see what the police department has going on…
On September 3rd at 2:20 pm, Halifax Police Lt. D. D. Irby responded to Wilco at 391 S. Main Street to investigate a reported gas drive-off. The operator of a white SUV left the premises after pumping approximately $22 in gas. On the same day, Lt. Irby was called to the ballfield at the old Halifax Elementary School to investigate reported vandalism to the property. Irby found that the concession stand/announcer’s booth and several playground items were sprayed with white spray paint. Damage was estimated at under $100. Evidence was recovered at the scene and the matter is still under investigation.
