There are very few things that actually can be the difference between life and death. Thumbs Up to the Halifax Police Department for taking the time to help make a difference.
The Halifax Police Department took part in the National Child Safety Seat Check this past Saturday at the Town of Halifax Farmer’s Market.
The National Child Safety Seat Check is part of National Child Passenger Safety Week which is held to raise awareness of child passenger safety issues and to stress the importance of correctly installing child safety seats in motor vehicles. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 3 out of 4 child seats are installed incorrectly and may not protect your child as well as you think. That’s why it is so important to have a certified technician inspect or install the seat in your vehicle. Child safety seat inspections can be scheduled by appointment by calling the Halifax Police Department at 434-476-2526 or by contacting your local police department.
