Halifax County larceny report

Let’s see what’s going on at the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office…

Four Forks Grocery (1021 Stage Coach Rd., Nathalie) reported a break-in. Somebody broke into a backroom and stole beer, cigarettes, other merchandise and a small amount of change. Deputy Tyler Clarke and Investigator Keith Tribble are investigating the case.

Two catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles parked in James Sawyer’s yard (1110 Hundley Rd, Halifax) last week. Craig Spencer is the officer handling this case.

A .32 caliber Cobra semi-auto handgun was stolen from Michael Williams’ truck while it was parked at his home (3134 Bradley Creek Rd., Nathalie). Jeff Burton is the deputy handling this case.

Jeff Burton is the investigaing officer. – Calls started rolling in around 4:50 PM yesterday about the trees and power lines down. We had calls on Hyco Rd.; Huell Matthews Hwy.; River Rd.; Asbury Church Rd.; Oak Level Rd.; Sandy Beach Rd.; Jones Ferry Rd.; Murphy Grove Rd.; Berry Hill Rd.; L.P. Bailey Mem. Hwy.; Sinai Rd.; Jeremy Creek Rd.; Boyd’s Ferry Trl.; and Clays Mill Rd. South Boston had a lot of trees down in town.
