This makes seven. I feel a special SouthsideCentral version of the classic PTI “Food Chain” segment is coming soon.
Campbell Republican joins race for Fifth District
Here’s Ron Ferrin’s website. (Caution: Annoying loud video plays when when you load the page).
The video is enough to make me not vote for this guy. Well, that and the lack of original thoughts. If you have to quote Sean Hannity to make your platform…
Sen Hurt is still my choice.
Michael McPadden is my choice people are tired of things as usual.
will: maybe too early to have this discussion, but in theory (for all campaigns), do we, as patriots, wish to beat those of Perriello’s ilk (tied to Nancy Pelosi) or do we wish to run someone ideologically pure?
this is a general question, not one specific to this race.
I’m so sick of this rhetoric. “do we, as patriots”. It’s not patriotic to want to beat Perriello. It’s partisan. And that’s ok! It’s partisan for Democrats to want to beat Hurt or whoever the Republicans select. It’s partisan to think your side has better solutions or at least that the opposing party has bad solutions/no solutions. And that’s ok. But by saying that patriots want to beat Perriello, it means that those who don’t want to defeat him, those that support him or at least don’t know, aren’t patriotic.
I’ll defend to the death anyone’s right to support whoever they want, but it’s vanity to believe that only people who share your political worldview are patriotic. It’s dangerous language, and it’s not right
will: let me re-phrase, do we as Republicans or conservatives (& maybe they are not synonymous in this instance) want to 1: beat Perriello with whichever candidate has the best chance or 2: run someone who is more ideologically pure. ’cause sometimes those candidates are not one in the same.
i hope i better articulated my question.
Laurence Verga all the way!
Kelley I want someone that we can elect, that will bring forth common sense law making. Someone who knows that long term job creation is the only way to fix our economy. Republicans,Democrats and Indies are all upset over the reckless spending that is going on in Washington right now. Whoever gets the nomination will not just slide into office it will be a tough race. I prefer Michael McPadden he brings a new face to the 5th district and the Democrats wouldn’t be able to pick at his past record. I will support whoever gets the nomination and i hope you will do the same Kelley.
