What do you get when you combine a holiday tradition and a fairy tale over in Rockingham County?
Hint: You know it’s going to be a funny story when the last line is “Alcohol was a contributing factor in this incident”. 😀
From our friends over at the Rockingham County (NC) Sheriff’s Department…
Reported: October 31, 2009 at 10:06 p.m.
Location of incident: 670 Belton Road in Stoneville
Victims: Harold James Davis, 35, of 670 Belton Road
Amanda Evans, 20, of 670 Belton Road
Reporting officer: Deputy Mike Edwards
Reporting person: Justin Hickman, 27, of 664 Belton RoadMr. Davis reported he and Miss Evans had returned home from taking kids “trick or treating”. When they entered the residence, they found a man asleep on the couch. One of the kids saw the man and started screaming, causing the man to wake up and leave. As he walked outside, Mr. Davis asked his neighbor to follow the man while he further searched his residence to make sure no one else was there.
Deputy Johnny Flynn responded to the incident and was able to locate the suspect as he was being followed by Mr. Hickman. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with Breaking and Entering the residence. Apparently, residents failed to lock their door before leaving. Nothing was determined stolen or disturbed.
Rogelio Bahena Bahena, 27, of 938 Galloway Street was given a bond of $20,000 and is also held as a detainee for INS. Alcohol was a contributing factor in this incident.
We needed a story like this to get our mind off politics, and it worked!
perhaps Snow White?
I think that the correct analogy is Goldilocks as she entered the Bear’s house uninvited and fell asleep. The real question here is did he drink all of the porridge?
Man, did I blow that nursery rhyme reference.
Title changed and oopsie!
