You know, people actually do want to shop at your store. How about making it easier for them?
If you go to the Flowers Bakery store in Danville (on South Boston Rd.), you’ll find some bizarre customer-unfriendly policies written on poster boards, like “No $50 or $100 bills accepted” and “No debit or credit cards accepted” (but hey, they’ll take those EBT cards). So, how about another hand-written sign with a new rule that makes it even tougher on your customers?

Since they won’t accept large bread for their dough, maybe they will trade some rolls for some rolled pennies? Or maybe these shiny pebbles I found in the creek? Where’s my change Mr Obama promised me? Will they accept that as payment?
A sure sign of a cash-strapped business, look more this trend to continue. I know of more than one business with plans to fold in 2010 because the cash flow has simply been shut off.
