You’ll have 2 more (very remote) chances every week to become a millionaire.
The multi-state lottery game, Powerball, will be coming to Virginia with tickets going on sale Sunday (1/31). Powerball drawings are held Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 PM.
The chances of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 195,249,054, so don’t get your hopes up. Just consider it a donation to Virginia’s public schools.
“donation to the VA lottery”
Well not exactly.
According to; http://valottery.com/money/
In Fiscal Year 2009, the Virginia Lottery had sales of more than $1.3 billion. Of this total, the Lottery contributed $439.1 million, or 32.1%, to public education grades K-12. 57.2% went back to players in the form of prizes, 5.6% went to the retailers who sell Virginia Lottery tickets, and 5.4% went to operational expenses.
Ha. That should say. “Donation to the public schools” instead of “donation to the VA lottery.”
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
