…FORGET IT!
Verizon to limit FiOS expansion plan
I always knew that Verizon would never spend the money to get fiber-optic connectivity to the smaller cities and rural areas, but to cut off their plans when they was just starting to get into large areas like Richmond? It really makes me wonder about Verizon’s word about their other services.
If it sounds too good to be true… you know the rest.
But will they still send all of the snail and e-mail promoting services they don’t offer?

SSC: many large corporations are being hit hard with tax implications of Obamacare. you may have read that AT&T could lose close to $1 billion dollars.
I suspect Verizon will lose money, too.
we’ll see many different corporations suspend plans. hardest hit areas? rural.
The game plan is to hold out so that smaller towns will provide funding support to pay Verizon to bring fiber to their residents. Expect to see Verizon’s Delegate, Jennifer McClellan, or perhaps some other Verizon-funded Delegate, to propose some sort of “economic justice” (tax-payer funded) initiative to provide fiber to “under-served” areas.
