UPDATED: Mysterious “bone”(?) found in Danville Walmart parking lot?

As of now, I’m putting this into the RumorCentral category until I can get further verification from more sources. Thanks to whoever used the SouthsideCentral TipLine!

I’ve heard from reliable sources that a mysterious “bone-like” object was found in a trash can in the Danville Walmart’s parking lot. Multiple police cars and the Crime Scene Unit were spotted in the parking lot around 7 PM. Our source says that “being sent to Roanoke for analysis” was overheard, and that would logically lead me to think that whatever was found was being sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office located in Roanoke.

The only thing I can think to say at this time is “Say, that’s odd.” 😀

We’ll update this story as we get more information.

UPDATE #1: All of the statements that we have above were correct. The State Medical Examiner’s office has declared that the bone found was “non-human”, so the investigation has concluded.
