Let’s just jump into the pool of Thumbs!
- Thumbs UP! to Scott Brooks and Showcase Magazine for pulling off Wednesday’s City Council candidate forum on a short notice and making it work perfectly. Scott is one of the most entertaining people who I’ve ever met and did an excellent job hosting the forum.
- Thumbs UP! also to the forum’s venue, the Danville Science Center’s new Digital Dome. Holy bejeezus, that thing is awesome! And it’s in Danville! Wow. Simply wow. You have to check it out… as well as the rest of the awesome Danville Science Center. It’s not just for children, because adults are guaranteed to learn things as soon as you step in the door.
- Thumbs UP! to the Halifax County Chamber of Commerce (as usual) for another successful year, culminating in their annual banquet. I wasn’t able to make it this year due to prior commitments but it was a fun event as usual. Thumbs UP! to the South Boston Speedway for their award of Business of the Year. Cathy Rice and her team never stop in continually improving SBS into the premier short track in the region.
I’m stopping with all Thumbs UP! because it’s a rarity. More coming up on SouthsideCentral!
