RandomThoughts! (6/1/2014)

Look out! I’m thinking randomly!

Would you like to see my Big Board?

  • Dammit. I know Robert Woodall Used Cars is remodeling the old Short Sugar’s location into their newest car lot, but it will still look like Short Sugar’s to me always.
  • Looks like the old Moore’s Lumber location on Trade St. is getting redone for Big Sky Rentals to move in.
  • How does Libby Hill stay in business? The Danville and the Reidsville location’s parking lots are always empty.
  • Downtown Danville’s JTI Fountain has quickly unseated the railroad bridge on the Riverwalk Trail as “Most overused place to take photos”.
  • Danville has two different theater groups… Little Theater and Danville Center Stage? Theater in Danville already has little public recognition, so why wouldn’t these group work together?
  • Go walking at the Chinqua-Penn Walking Trail near Reidsville NC. You’ll be totally amazed at what you’ll see.
  • I’ve only been to Danville’s Tiny Town Golf once in the five or so years that they’ve been open under the new ownership.
  • The Piggly Wiggly grocery store out near the airport (oops, that’s the only one left in the area) has more security cameras than a prison.
  • O’ Kelly’s is the perfect example of a small business that sells products at a very fair price, treats their customers perfectly and succeeds awesomely.

That’s some RandomThoughts to kick June off. Your comments are always welcome!

    I love Chinqua-penn!
I have been to the Tiny Town Golf like 2 times, my whole life!

I wonder if you’re just looking at LIbby Hill at the wrong times. I believe they cater to a more senior clientele, though I am basing that just on that story about the retired cop who shot himself there.

I didn’t know the mini golf place was actually in operation.
