Our Thumbs! are becoming famous. Seriously.
Do I really need to tell you the rules of a Thumbs! article? Heh.
- Thumbs UP! to Adam Tomer. Yes, we’ve already featured him in his own Thumbs! article but this week was his last official Danville City Council meeting. He’s been an excellent member of council and SouthsideCentral truly wishes him the best in whatever he does now. We also hope he gets back into public service soon. The Southside area needs people like Adam Tomer. It was enjoyable listening to all the tributes to him by the other council members. With all of those tributes, I had to make sure I wasn’t at his funeral. Ha!
- Thumbs UP! to Alonzo Jones and Buddy Rawley for their quite welcome plug of SouthsideCentral’s World-Famous Thumbs! series of articles during Tomer’s
eulogyfarewell speeches. Ha! Again! - Thumbs UP! to Dawn Witter. After failing to win her first City Council race, Witter decided to jump right into public service in another way and was appointed to the Danville Utility Commission last night. Dawn Witter is a very intelligent woman and it’s good to know that she’s going to remain active in the community.
- We’re giving a final Thumbs UP! today to one of SouthsideCentral’s biggest fans, South Boston’s Wayne Jones. Wayne is a terrific guy and he loves to show off his weather knowledge on Facebook. We really appreciate his support of SouthsideCentral and he’s well deserving of this Thumb!
That’s my Thumbs! for this article. Hey looky, they were all UP! this time. Don’t bet on that next time.
