Outsider/Insider Art Show – Today!

We’re back to full speed and we wanted to tell you about our LIVE! coverage plans at a very cool event coming up today. I hope to see you at the “Outsider/Insider Art Show” in Danville tonight. It’s at 600 Craghead Street, and that’s Davis Storage Warehouse #4.

Everyone can create art and everyone can appreciate art. All people, regardless of background, have a voice that needs to be heard and we hope you’ll join us on the 25th in one little way of giving a voice to many to express how they see our shared world.

Join us on July 25 for an art show that showcases the art of professionals and well-known local artisans alongside the art of brothers and sisters in areas of profound need here in Danville. You won’t want to miss the beautiful work of love put together by Grace and Main leaders to exhibit the world which we love and in which we serve through the work of your brothers and sisters.

There will be live music courtesy of DJ Ben Wright and light refreshments will be served.

If you’re wondering about the name, here’s the explanation. A lot of people think that the arts community is closed off to the rest of the world with their own cliques. Outsiders can participate in the arts along with the insiders, and this art show will prove that. “Insiders” are going to be there with their artwork and “outsiders” are going to show their creations.

I was one of the believers that the arts community was walled off to outsiders. I took it upon myself one day to break my personal wall down and I started learning about the arts. I’ve never looked back and I’ve found a new appreciation for the arts.
