Some beautiful and friendly cats need new homes. You can make it happen.
I have nothing but the highest praise for the Danville Area Humane Society. They do a mostly-thankless job with care and compassion. Paulette Dean, the staff, the volunteers and the board of directors are all amazing people.
Check out their website, please.
Yesterday, I went to the shelter and visited Camp Meow Meow. That’s the area where adult cats have a beautiful place to play until somebody chooses them for a new home. I want you to go there too. The adoption fee is $85, and that’s well worth the veterinary exam, spay/neuter, and rabies vaccination. You fill out a questionnaire and if you’re approved, you can give one of these cats a new home as early as the next day. The wonderfully helpful staff and volunteers will answer any questions that you may have. Their adoption area is all of Danville and Pittsylvania County. If you live outside of that area, state law requires you to choose an animal that’s old enough to be spayed/neutered before it leaves the shelter. If you’re outside this radius, you can still submit an adoption request to the adoption committee. If you have any questions, call the shelter at 434-799-0843.
Here’s some photos from my visit to Camp Meow Meow.
Make the call. Go visit. Give one (or more) of these cats the home and the love that they deserve.
You won’t regret it.
