Vice-chairman John Carroll welcomes us and Chairman Ron Johnson introduces our speaker, Wanda Abraha. She’s the director of human relations for the city of Winston-Salem, NC.

I’m disappointment in the sparse crowd. Danville United is a good organization that has great quality presentations.
Abraha’s Commission is in charge of investigating discrimination cases. They have limited regulatory authority from state and federal laws. They also have a College Advisory Board from local college students. They advise City Council on their viewpoint on issues that impact them, like transit issues. Abraha really knows her stuff and is a terrific speaker.
