Have you been to Danville’s “River District Artisans” at 411 Main Street? It’s where the Arc of Southside moved their “Hatcher Center Outlet Store” to from their previous location in Blairs. The Danville Regional foundation awarded them $100,000 to renovate the building and it’s beautiful. Today, we’ll take a PhotoCentral tour and show you some of the amazing things that are for sale. Let’s get Part #1 started.
This was my first visit in the store and I was amazed. I bet you will be amazed as well.
Don’t forget… everything you see is for sale. The store is open 10AM to 6PM Monday through Friday and 10AM to 2PM on Saturday. We’ll have more PhotoCentral articles to complete the tour coming up on SouthsideCentral!

Wow, $100,000??! That is a lot of money. Did they also renovate the upstairs? The first floor was already very nice when I used the space for The Invitation Destination.
The money paid for renovations including electrical work, plumbing, painting, replacement of ceiling panels, flooring, repair of stairwells, track lighting replacement and window replacement. Construction isn’t cheap, but in this case, was necessary to bring the building up to the standard that was needed. It is quite beautiful and much more functional than before.
I hope to get to Danville soon and I’ll be sure to check it out! The upstairs seemed to have lots of potential, I hope that can be utilized!
The upstairs is still under construction, but that is the idea. Please stop in and visit, next time you’re in town! We have over 40 artists, altogether, represented!
