PhotoCentral: Adoptathon! – Part #4

We’ll wrap up our series of PhotoCentral articles on this weekend’s Adoptathon held at Reidsville NC’s Petsense. We’ve shown you the animals in Part #1 and Part #2, and took you on a tour of Petsense in Part #3. Now we’re going to introduce you to the special exhibitor that they had there.

Let’s take a look at what CCSB Reptile Rescue & Rehabilitation Center had on exhibit at the Adoptathon…

CCSB Reptile Rescue & Rehabilitation Center brought a lot of reptiles to exhibit.

This is Cornflake. She’s an adult Burmese Python who was surrendered by her previous owner.

These tortoises have some speed in them when they see a worm dinner.

More turtles on display.

This snake kept poking his head out to check out what was going on.

You can save 10% or more on your car insurance in just… wait, what?

These snakes stayed locked up because they are poisonous. There’s a diamondback on the left and a monocle cobra on the right. We tried to get the cobra to “hood up” but she refused to get irritated enough at us.

He is not amused.

And here’s Chad Griffin. He’s co-owner of CCSB Reptile Rescue & Rehabilitation Center.

CCSB Reptile Rescue & Rehabilitation Center has a website and a Facebook page. You can see some of the reptiles that they’ve got up for adoption and learn more about them. They take in unwanted, sick or seized reptiles and try to get them into new homes. I learned a lot while talking to them.

And that’s it! The Adoptathon was a great success. Thanks go to Petsense, Drive 4 Shelter and the Rockingham County Animal Shelter for working hard to make this a great weekend. SouthsideCentral is a strong supporter of all animal shelters, and we’re glad to feature this weekend’s Adoptathon. We hope you’ve enjoyed this series of PhotoCentral articles.
