Kentuck Volunteer Fire Department had their 2nd Annual Steak Dinner & Silent Auction on Saturday night at Dan River High School. Lots of people came out for a terrific steak dinner and stayed around for a silent auction with hundreds of items. SouthsideCentral was happy to be there showing our support for the Kentuck VFD and we’ve got a series of PhotoCentral articles starting now.
Kentuck Volunteer Fire Department relies on donations to keep their operations to their high standards. Give them a call at 434-822-8026 and help them out. Let’s get to the photos!
It’s about 5:10 PM and we’re just arriving at Dan River High School…
The steaks are cooking and the dessert table is ready… but we’re just started with this PhotoCentral series. Part #2 is coming up next!

Thanks for covering this great event that was enjoyed by many! I, Scott Barker Public Relations Officer would like to take this quick opportunity to personally thank everyone who came out to support the event as well as everyone who gave their time to help make this event a success from obviously my brothers and sisters of the department but a big thanks goes to all the friends and family of our department who helped as well! A large thank you goes out to the sponsors, Danville Toyota, Danville Regional Medical Center, Todd Breaux State Farm, Davenport Energy, Intertape Polymer Group, and Dr.McKinney and staff at Rockingham Foot and Ankle! I also want to thank the many businesses and individuals that donated items from sports memorabilia to a book pawtugraphed by AC the cat. Like I said we had something for everyone! Also as the many thanks that so many deserve, if it weren’t for the help and support of all these people, and businesses this event wouldn’t have happened and there would be no Kentuck Volunteer Fire Department without all of the ones listed above! Last but not least thanks to Bruce for taking time out of his busy schedule to come cover our event, but also taking the time to enjoy the event and the fun and fellowship that we had at our 2nd Annual Silent Auction and Steak Dinner! I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and we look forward to our 3rd Annual Silent Auction and Steak Dinner coming 2016!
