I find them, you read them. Let’s take a look at some of the stories that have caught my eye over the past week. Sunday is QuickHits! day.
Please notice a Big Board coming out from backstage…
- Rockingham County (NC) Commissioner Keith “Zero” Mabe gets arrested on his 2nd drunk driving charge in the last 8 months.
- Crazy Conspiracy Crackpots are campaigning against Martinsville adding fluoride to their drinking water, and nutball councilwoman Sharon Hodge is agreeing with them.
- Susan Light is named editor of the Chatham Star-Tribune (and she’s a damned good pick for the job).
- Rocky Mount’s city council passes a useless resolution sort of against a proposed natural gas pipeline.
- Centra’s “big announcement” in Brookneal turned out to be no announcement at all.
- 86 years old. On a 4-wheeler. No helmet. Yeah, you know this story is going to end up badly.
- Attorney General Mark Herring is coming to Danville on Sunday for a Democratic fundraiser. Did anybody know this?
That’s seven QuickHits! for you. We’ve got more coming up on SouthsideCentral!
Any idea what Tim Davis’ next pursuit will entail?
He’s going to work for Ben Davenport’s companies, doing customer relations and social media.
To your last one–yes, I knew about it and I am so glad I went to the event and had the opportunity to speak personally with him.
I don’t understand their logic. You’ve got the 3rd highest ranking elected official coming to Danville for the fundraiser yet you don’t get the word out for more people to attend?
