On Tuesday, May 24th, Danville’s Sonic restaurant will run a special, with corn dogs priced at 50¢. But there’s some fine print on the sign that caught SouthsideCentral’s eye. Heh.
Hey, we’re trained to notice these kinds of things!
Let’s take a look at the hang-tag on the Sonic ordering board…
But hey, there’s a red asterisk on the tag and that red asterisk leads to the fine print at the bottom of the tag! Always read the fine print! Let’s see what it says about the 50¢ corn dog offer…
Ah Hah! There’s the trick and I’m betting that people don’t take the time to read the fine print. As you can clearly see, the fine print tells us that the 50¢ corn dogs are really going to be priced at 50¢. Sneaky, huh?
Sheesh. I’m sure that had to be put on the tag by some lawyer’s directive. Enjoy your 50¢ corn dogs on Tuesday while they’re actually priced at 50¢. Sheesh again!
I checked online prices of Sonic’s corn dog and in Virginia it lists it as $1.51. What the fine print is telling you, I think, is that you will have to pay the $0.50 plus the tax not just the $0.50.
Let’s just meet there for lunch. 😀
