- A Baltimore man who killed himself as police closed in was identified as the man who robbed two Martinsville stores.

- The Mebane man who killed his girlfriend with a baseball bat won’t face the death penalty at his upcoming trial.
- A former Patrick Henry Community College athletic director wins a lawsuit alleging him of false imprisonment.
- A woman on her mission for a cause stops in Yanceyville during her two-year bike ride all around the country.
- The new Walmart distribution center is about ready to open near Mebane, and the new Lidl (grocery store that will be coming to Danville) distribution center is being built.
- It looks like the 150 Mod-U-Kraf employees “temporarily laid off” are now out of a job, as work starts to get them benefits & retraining.
- There’s a new sno-cone business in Blanch!
- A year-old murder case in Franklin County gets delayed again when the prosecution asks to have the defense attorney booted from the case.
