It’s a slow news week. So let’s think randomly!

There’s no shortage of Big Boards in the SouthsideCentral inventory, so here’s a brand new one…

• My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Maddie Jackson. She put up one hell of a fight to beat a lot of medical predictions, but she’s at rest now. She’s a hero in my book.
• I’m still amazed at the boldness of W.L. Pryor trying to get a “bingo hall” in the Dan River Plaza while still under deferred prosecution for 15 gambling machine felonies in Rockingham County.
• I’d give the Virginia Flaggers a lot more respect if they’d put up a few American flags too.
• I still have no idea what “Middle Border Forward” actually is.
• Whatever happened to Moving Danville Forward?
• Whatever happened to Love Danville?
• I get annoyed when businesses try to use a personal Facebook profile instead of making a page for their business.
• Few people take advantage of the Golden Leaf Bistro’s “bar menu” from 3 to 7 PM. They have a lot of food choices at half price and drink specials.
• That damned “Dead Pennrose Mall” series has gone viral again. People love their dead malls & humor.
• Does anybody remember Linda Arey?
• This is probably the lamest RandomThoughts! article in history.
