Ah, what the hell.
Anybody seen my Big Board? Oh yeah, there it is.
- Danville’s Kmart is like that very distant relative that’s in a hospital. You know that you should go visit them before they die, but you really don’t know them and it’s going to be just plain awkward.
- Eden’s “Pennies For Change” thrift store is going out of business. I don’t know what charity the money is going to, but the place was packed with clothes, furniture and assorted other junk to make it a good place to shop. Go get some good deals while you can.
- Walmart’s Neighborhood Market store in NorDan shopping center has significantly dropped their prices on things that you could get cheap at Lidl. Private label soft drinks are 44¢ as one big example.
- Speaking of that… Lidl = Aldi Deluxe.
- This is the quietest time period that I’ve ever seen for the local governments.
- Holy crap. The Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce got it completely right when they hired Alexis Earhardt to be their next president. She’s got the perfect personality and attitude for the job.
- Ben David Jewelers hosted the December Chamber After Hours get-together and that store is just amazingly beautiful.
- I thought Coco Ni was an fancy ice cream place but it’s like a sushi restaurant too?
- I still call Greensboro’s Pyramid Villages shopping center “the old Carolina Circle Mall”.
- This is SouthsideCentral, Cherie.
- The award for “Most Overstuffed Store That’s Almost Impossible To Walk Around In” goes to CitiTrends.
- There’s a special place in hell for people who profiteer off on Christmas toys. Or maybe just a permanent Exile Island for them.
- I finally got a chance to try Crema & Vine’s food selections. Yes. Oh yes. Oh oh yes.
- Speaking of that, Steve DelGiorno is a genius. And a great guy.
- Remember the Burlington Manufacturer’s Outlet Center?
- Heck, for that matter… remember the outlet center built in a Greensboro’s old mill? It’s now a bunch of townhouses that look like an Attack Of The Clones.
Jeez. That was a lot of RandomThoughts, wasn’t it?
We’ve got more coming up here at SouthsideCentral!
