I’ve been thinking. Beware.
Let’s find a Big Board in the warehouse…
- So whatever happened to the horrible quality of life issues that were promised and feared by the residents near Jeff Smith’s Family Vet that was built on Piney Forest Road? Hint: None of that crap happened.
- So whatever happened to the Danville Public Library’s “purge” of Confederate history material? Hint: That wasn’t happening either.
- Speaking of the Danville Public Library, they’ve now added even more free online services. You should take advantage of them.
- You need to go have a Day-O-Fun at Uptown Pinball in Martinsville. Mike Haley & his crew have expanded yet again and it’s even more of a bargain now. All of the machines are set on free play, and it’s only $12 for the entire day.
- I’ve only been threatened to be sued once this past week. Unfortunately, the crazy old woman deleted her threat once I told her that she wasn’t going to do a damned thing.
- Getting back to Martinsville (well technically Collinsville here), eat at Fenderz.
- The carnival that just finished up at Nor-Dan Shopping Center was ridiculously small, yet large enough to completely disrupt the businesses.
- Toys-R-Us should mow their parking lot before they close for good.
- Next time you’re in
Downtown Danvillethe River District, play a fun game of “Let’s find all of the city’s security cameras!” - Using your first and middle name on Facebook doesn’t fool anybody. People can still find you and they will if they want to.
- We drove by IHOP last week around 7 PM. There were no cars in the parking lot. None.
That’s enough RandomThoughts for now. More coming up here on SouthsideCentral!
That is funny you noticed the Toys R Us parking lot. I noticed that too yesterday. The fact that it stands out with so many people and places having CRAZY tall grass due to the wild weather is noteworthy. They likely won’t mow/weed wack/treat it as it is owned by TRU and the company has cut anything not absolutely necessary, which is standard in such matters. Danville is going to have a lot of empty big retail buildings with Kmart, Toys R Us, Sears and my guess is that we are 18 months away from JC Penny following suit. And none of that has anything to do with Danville or local sales but instead poorly run companies.
