Hey! I remembered how this thing works. Let’s think randomly…
There’s a Big Board somewhere. There it is. Let’s play!
- If you’re wondering (or even if you’re not), I’m getting way more clicks & views on social media than I did with the website. But I can do better at writing long-form articles like this.
- I didn’t know that Danville has three Rotary clubs.
- Dell’Anno’s Pizza Kitchen downtown has a great cheeseburger special for less than $5.
- There’s no need for table service at a place like Dell’Anno’s. I liked it better before they remodeled.
- The Riverside BP isn’t closing. They’ve just covered up the BP logos because they’re not going to be part of the BP brand anymore.
- The URW credit union location near Lowe’s need a separate parking lot for all of the cars that they repossess.
- Lidl is a nice grocery store, but I still can’t get everything I want from there.
- Texas Steakhouse is in serious need of a remodeling. Or something.
- This year’s fall fair & festival season has been just “Meh”. Eden’s Riverfest was cancelled due to the pending tropical system, South Boston’s Harvest Festival didn’t even advertise to this area, the Halifax County Fair came and went without much notice and the Danville/Pittsylvania County was half wiped out because of rain.
- On that note, Yanceyville’s Bright Leaf Hoedown was about the same as it’s been every other year. It’s good for about a two hour visit.
- SouthsideCentral hearts Alexis Earhardt. As the president of the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce, she’s got the amazing personality and the inner toughness that the late Laurie Moran had. She’s also brought her style to the job. She’s a perfect fit.
- Danville’s city staff needs to fix the problem of Airbnb rentals needing to go through the Special Use Permit process. That’s just too much bureaucracy for a relatively small transaction.
- Holy crap. I got carried away here. Let’s save the rest for another article.
And there you go. I can do better at getting long-form articles published. Thanks for reading!
But……..you HAD Danville’s first ever comic con. And it was a huge success and enjoyed by all! Who needs the fair and all of the circle rides and insulting carnies? Eden riverfest was def missed majorly! Hate that the weather ruined it.
Very true. You did a great job.
Thanks bud! I still have a lot of work to do but it was a great start.
