I believed in this issue from the beginning. Vote YES on Tuesday for new tax revenue, jobs and an amazing new entertainment center.
I want to get this disclaimer up front and perfectly clear. I have a services contract with the Danville Wins with Pari-Mutuel campaign.
That being said, I love Danville. I love this city because it’s laid-back and low-cost. But one thing that we don’t have here is a lot of entertainment activities. It’s time for that to change. If the upcoming referendum passes, we’ll soon have a Rosie’s in the city.
Rosie’s is an entertainment complex featuring off-track betting on live horse races around the country. historical horse racing gaming machines, a gift shop and a full service casual dining restaurant and bar. There’s four Rosie’s locations in the state already, and they’ve turned into an entertainment destination for lots of people. The one here would attract customers from North Carolina as well.
Rosie’s would be regulated by the state, and the city of Danville would receive tax revenue from the proceeds. The company has announced they’d be looking to hire 150 people as well.
Danville Wins with Pari-Mutuel, and Danville also wins with additional tax revenue and new jobs. It’s was an easy decision for me when I first heard about the complex, and it’s an easy decision now.
SouthsideCentral gives Tuesday’s Danville pari-mutuel referendum our highest endorsement, and I strongly urge all Danville residents to vote YES on Tuesday, November 5th.
