We’re going to jump into the SouthsideCentral Time Machine and take you back to August 12th, 2002. Next stop, the Carrington Pavilion! Four LIVE! events in one day. We’ve done it before and we’re doing it again. We’re now at the Institute for the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards dinner. Let’s see who wins this year’s Pinnacle award! Editor’s Note: This article is now complete. Three meetings. Three LIVE! articles. We’re still at Danville City Hall but we’ve moved across the hall for today’s Danville Utility Commission meeting. This meeting starts at 4 PM. Editor’s Note: This article is now complete. Editor’s Note: This article is now complete. We’ll do a separate article with bonus photos. We’re LIVE! at the Danville Regional Airport for today’s Regional Industrial Facilities Authority meeting. Today’s meeting starts at noon. If it’s Sunday, there’s going to be a QuickHits! article on SouthsideCentral. Except when there’s not a QuickHits! article on SouthsideCentral. Luckily for you, there is a QuickHits! article today on SouthsideCentral. Let’s see what articles have caught my eye over the past week. Our SouthsideCentral writers have been hard at work over the last few days and I saw them fitting things on a chalkboard. What are the chances? Yep, it’s OddsMakers! time. Jeez. It’s time for the second week on Danville’s Farmer’s Market and we’ve still got photos from the opening weekend. We’ve got Part #1, Part #2 and Part #3 published already. Let’s go to Part #4. Here’s the recap of our LIVE! at tonight’s Danville School Board meeting. We’ll have PhotoCentral articles coming up with some of the honorees. If you’ve been around downtown Danville, then you probably know that High St. has been blocked off for the last 927 years (not really, but it seems that way) because of a building that has collapsed and is still collapsing. Now we know what the plans are for that 549 High St. SouthsideCentral will be LIVE! at tonight’s Danville School board meeting, and this year’s group of retirees will be recognized by the board. Let’s take a look at who’s in that class. If you liked Part #1 of our PhotoCentral articles with photos from Danville City Council’s Tuesday night’s meeting, you’ll love Part #2. If you didn’t like it, then you’re no fun. 😀 We’ve already published our LIVE! Danville City Council coverage article and it had thirteen photos in it. That’s thirteen more than the newspaper had in it. Heh. We’ve got enough bonus coverage photos for a couple of PhotoCentral articles so let’s get to it. We’re LIVE! at Danville City Hall for tonight’s Danville City Council meeting. This article is now complete with the most coverage that you’ll find anywhere. Editor’s Note: Boom. I blew it. I’m now flagging this article into the “Errors & Omissions” category. Susan Light from the Chatham Star-Tribune was at the Centra Danville Medical Center groundbreaking, as well as Gracie Mays from Chatmoss Cablevision. I’m thinking. Look out. We’re getting to the middle of the building at Danville’s Farmer’s Market. Let’s continue our PhotoCentral journey. It’s time to take a look at some of the articles that have caught my eye over the past week. Sunday is QuickHits! day. When we left Danville’s Farmer’s Market in Part #1 of this PhotoCentral series of articles, we had barely made the left turn as we walked inside. Clockwise we go in Part #2! Saturday was the season opener for the Danville Farmer’s Market, and SouthsideCentral was there. We’re going to do a series of PhotoCentral articles so that you can see some of the highlights. Part #1 is ready to go! Not Too Good. Let’s hop in the SouthsideCentral Time Machine and go back to October 17th, 2013 where this story began. It’s hard to believe that 2015 is already 1/3 over. That means it’s time for SouthsideCentral to issue ReportCards again. Today, we’re going to grade Danville City Council. We just published Part #1 of our PhotoCentral set of articles about the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce‘s Business After Hours event at Ecomnets on Tuesday night. Let’s wrap it up with Part #2. Have I mentioned that you should join the Chamber? The Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce‘s monthly Business After Hours was hosted by Ecomnets. Let’s take a look at some photos from the event. Shameless plug: Join the Chamber. It’s well worth it. |
