PhotoCentral: Inside CAPSTONE (Part #1)

Today, the Institute of Advanced Learning & Research showed off their new CAPSTONE project. This is a project that will train people to use highly technical machinery. The belief is that once a sizable workforce is trained, industries will want to locate their new factories in the Southside region. Today, we’ll going to take a look at the labs while they’re still under construction.

Crazy Coalash Crusader Cardiologist Conspiracy Crap

There’s a reason that Danville Vice-Mayor Gary Miller didn’t invite SouthsideCentral along on his Wednesday river expedition. I’d have told him that he was a conspiracy-spouting nutball who should know better than to spread unsubstantiated theories that stupid people will actually believe.

Editor’s Note: We’ve updated this article to show the actual email sent out by Mark Warner’s office and the reply sent to people who RSVP’d. You won’t be surprised, folks.

Who’s to blame if Mark Warner doesn’t show up for an event that Mark Warner was never supposed to be at? Clearly, it’s Mark Warner.

The Lies Of Norhurst

On Sunday, the Danville Register & Bee ran a feature article about Norhurst, Inc. It was a trainwreck because Tim Norton lied to Vicky Morrison (the reporter) and she didn’t challenge him on it.

Let’s take a look at what went wrong.

By the way, if you were looking for other local media coverage of this week’s meeting… forget it. No other source covered it (except for Mark Aron and River City TV, but that’s the government channel). Heh. Let’s get to work.

RottenReporting: At Least They Got Halifax Right!

Hee hee. Just a quick one for this edition of RottenReporting. WSET’s reporters may know Southside VA (well sorta once they stay in Southside for more than six months), but their morning news producer in Lynchburg who updates their website is quite clueless.
