It’s baaaaaack! It’s that time again where we have to choose our representative for the U.S. House. Let’s look at the field and see where we’re standing in our first update for the season. RandomThoughts articles sometimes lead to interesting discussions. One recent one led to Danville’s Masonic Temple building, so I did a little recon work today… We’ve been working on the continuing story about the Jefferson Court apartments that were condemned by the City of Danville a few weeks ago. SouthsideCentral has shown you a lot of details from the outside, and we’ve been working with the Inspections department of the city to show you more of the unlivable conditions. We’re got a lot of photos to work with and process, so we’re going to run this as a multi-part series of articles. SouthsideCentral had a terrific time at Thursday’s Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours… but then we always do! This month’s event was held at American National University on Old Riverside Drive in Danville. We’ve got so many photos to share that we’re making this a two-part article. Let’s get Part #1 going! Diversity enhances all of our life experiences and lets us understand different races and cultures. Diversity. It’s a good thing. Except when a group excludes all other races except their own… This just in… South Boston Town Council member Margaret Coleman has resigned effective September 1st. Tonight’s meeting was postponed from the normal Tuesday because of the National Night Out ceremonies. The meeting starts at 7PM and you’ll want to refresh the page often.
