The day after Danville’s Economic Development Summit, Danville’s Economic Development director resigned. Oh, that’s a good sign. After an unplanned SouthsideCentral hiatus, I’m not sure where to start… Yes, Danville City Council members deserve a raise. No, not this much and no, not all at once.. Even SouthsideCentral can get into the Christmas spirit… let’s have an all Thumbs UP! edition for absolutely no reason at all. Move along… move along. If the guy hadn’t died from his burns, I’m sure he’d be arrested by now. Sheesh. The apathy of Pittsylvania County residents fails to surprise me yet again. This just in… not. It’s been a long while since we’ve had a DOTD but anytime a former state trooper robs a bank, we’ve got to use that title… Now that Thanksgiving holiday is over, we’ve got a stack of Thumbs! Let’s do some RandomThoughts about what happened in the SouthsideCentral region and more… No matter who wins in Tuesday’s election for Halifax County Commonwealth’s Attorney, county residents will be well represented in the courtroom. SouthsideCentral believes that Ira Tilley has been unfairly painted as a one-issue candidate and we believe that he is the best choice for mayor of Reidsville, NC. SouthsideCentral wraps up our endorsements for the Virginia House of Delegates by endorsing Danny Marshall in the 14th District. Having officially tried Dell’Anno’s downtown at least 3 times, I feel that I can make an honest review. Les Adams has done everything that’s needed to show us that he’ll make a good Delegate in Virginia’s General Assembly. In the last two elections, James Edmunds has had no competition. In this election, James Edmunds has an opponent but still has no competition. |
